KLSTR.one Installation

Before you begin

Ensure you have:

• KLSTR.one device
• 12-24V DC power supply (not included)
• Cat5e or better Ethernet cable
• 5-pin DMX cable
• Mounting hardware (included: bracket, M3 screws)

Mounting

The KLSTR.one can be mounted in several ways:

Bracket mount (recommended)

1. Attach the included L-bracket to the KLSTR.one using the two M3 screws.
2. Secure the bracket to your mounting surface (truss, fixture body, or rack) using appropriate hardware for your surface.
3. Ensure the device is oriented with the connectors accessible and the status LED visible.

DIN rail mount

An optional DIN rail adapter is available for rack and panel installations. Clip the adapter onto a standard 35mm DIN rail.

Adhesive mount

For temporary or lightweight installations, industrial adhesive tape can be used on the flat bottom of the enclosure.

Wiring

1. DMX output
   Connect a 5-pin DMX cable from the KLSTR.one XLR output to your fixture’s DMX input.

   XLR Pin	Signal
   1	Ground
   2	Data - (cold)
   3	Data + (hot)
   4	Data return -
   5	Data return +

   
   Pins 4 and 5 are required for RDM communication.
2. Ethernet
   Connect to your network switch or directly to a computer.
3. Power
   Connect a 12-24V DC supply to the barrel connector. Center pin is positive.

Danger

Do not exceed 24V DC input. Overvoltage will permanently damage the device and void the warranty.

Verifying the installation

After applying power:

1. The status LED turns amber during boot (approximately 3 seconds).
2. The LED turns blue once the network link is established.
3. Open KLSTR.ctrl — the device should appear in the discovery panel.
4. Once configured, the LED turns green indicating normal operation.
